Motorola: How It Went Wrong
Gizmodo just published an open letter from Numair Faraz, the “personal assistant” to the former Chief Marketing Officer at Motorola - aimed at current CEO Greg Brown. And, wow, this guy manages to lambast Brown, Ed Zander, and all the “incompetent senior executives” working for the #3 phone maker.
According to Numair, the company went downhill after the death of CMO Geoffrey Frost (who died of a massive heart attack at 56), and money that should have been spent on handset R&D instead went into company acquisitions and stock buybacks.
