try this… on your phone menu screen (where you see your phone icons) choose Options > Memory Details.

I suggest you have it checked by a licensed techie. You trying to repair or even open your phone would actually void its warranty and cause you more problems.

the only thing that won’t work is the phone service. You won’t lose any songs you have on it and can add more it you like

I have some Nokia phones, which come in a different type of packaging noticed. – Blue boxes. The box has the image of the phone on it. (Not wrong print or sticker). The legalities are iffy on this because the state you live in may have a law requiring all parties to know the conversation is being recorded.
But if you know you’re good legally, they sell these at RadioShack:
